Heritage of Bel-Air staff,

A special thank you to everyone from the girls giving baths, all the aides, nurses, and administrative staff for all of the help and kindness shown to me while I was there after my hip surgery.

Also, a thank you to the cooks as meals were always very good!

Thanks to the therapy gals for their help and coming out to make a home visit to make sure I'd have a safe way in and out and around inside my home.

You can be sure I will always tell others to go to Bel-Air when in need of kind and loving care.

God Bless you all!

Bel-Air is very good with updating family on residents condition and any changes in doctor's orders, as well as also keeping family and the resident informed. They are open to suggestions and calling the doctors. They offer great activities, including invitations for families, and have lots of resources available for therapy, hair care, great foods and snacks for the residents. The transportation department offers rides for residents to, and from, doctors appointments. Lastly, the greeter at the front door contributes to an awesome and friendly, homey feeling.

The most important reason my Mother chose Heritage of Bel-Air is that there are levels of care and she knew when she moved in that when she needed more care she would not have to move to another facility.

General facility is well-kept and maintained. Very "homey" feeling. Always smells fresh. Staff is very friendly and concerned about residents. Activities staff and volunteers are wonderful!

The facility is very welcoming to new team members. People in each department were kind to me as I began my new job here. Hiring kind and compassionate people is an area that this facility exceeds in expectations in.

We wish to thank you all - the nursing team - RNs, CNAs, Dietary team, housekeeping, van drivers, laundry team, physical therapy girls and anyone who touched our Mom's life while she lived her last seven and a half years at Bel-Air. She truly called this her "home." Many times she would say "take me home," meaning back to her room. She loved all of you and loved your conversations with her, too. With love from her family.

My Mom, Elsie, died at the age of 100. I am so grateful to you and the wonderful team at Heritage of Bel-Air for providing the marvelous facility where she enjoyed her last years. Every time I went to see Mom she was clean, her space and the facility were clean and she was well cared for.
I was grateful to visit with some of the care team who have helped her over the past years. They knew her and loved her. She always told me how she appreciated the nurses. I could feel a genuine sadness as they came to check on her and tell her "good bye." My brother Ron and I are grateful she had such great care and a great facility to live out her last years. You and your team are masters in the business of caring.

To the team at Heritage of Bel-Air,
Oh where do I begin? The nurses, the CNAs and the entire team are awesome people and thank you doesn't seem adequate! Mom received such wonderful care from the day she arrived, right to the very end. You were her family just as much, or more, than we were. You could make her smile and laugh, and treated us like family, too. We couldn't have asked for a better home for Mom these last four years. So happy God brought you to us! Thank you.
LeAnn and Becky, Resident Family Members
Everything was great! The team is so friendly and so willing to please. The food was good, too. Thanks so much for being there when I needed to be helped.

When I found out I was going to have to go to a rehab facility after total hip replacement my first choice was Heritage of Bel-Air. My Mother had been a resident here seven years ago and we had a positive experience. From the moment I arrived here I was made to feel very welcome. In just two weeks of intense therapy, and lots of tender loving care and encouragement, I am going home. I feel stronger and more confident in my days ahead. Thanks to the whole team at Bel-Air for the exceptional care.
Cherilynn H., Short-term Rehabilitation Resident

The PT and OT departments do an excellent, professional job getting clients stronger.
The beauty shop operators do an excellent job. Fun and entertaining activities are planned on an daily basis.

P.S. Audrey in transportation is wonderful setting up Dr. appointments and transporting patients.

I am honored to have stayed with you. I was a trip for most, I am sure. I was treated as royalty by all that entered my space - whether in the hallway, dining room, therapy areas, personal room.
We all had fun, while the team members maintained their professionalism, my dignity. There was never a negative comment made by any team members.
Thank you for all you did for me while I was with you. Even during my discharge, and I come in for rehab, the team members always stop and say hi to me by my first name, and in the hallway the same. I am so impressed with the memory - it is so impressive to me.

Dear Heritage of Bel-Air Family,
It's hard to find words to express my gratitude for the loving care you gave to my Mother, Dorothy. But, thank you so much. I knew, we all knew, that she was in good hands. You all were always kind to her and kind to our family.
May the Lord bless all of you.

To the team of Bel-Air,
You made our Mother's life so much more bearable. Your kindness, patience, knowledge of the elderly are way above standard. She could not have had better care than at Bel-Air. You should all be proud of yourselves. I know the family of Irene is very proud of you all! Thank you!
The Family of Irene
Heritage of Bel-Air is an award winning health care facility. The class and integrity of the staff and programs offered to residents is second-to-none in Northeast Nebraska. Heritage offers dementia care, a growing need, for patients as well as skilled nursing all under one roof. They strive to rise above with their community involvement as well as giving back through blood drives and other ventures. We are lucky to have this facility in our community as it is needed and a requirement for our growing elderly population.
Rachel Reiser, Mutual of Omaha
First of all, I'm happy to be going home, but I will miss each and every one of the people working here. You have all been very kind and helpful whenever I needed anything, or had to do anything. Also, the therapy team is a wonderful group of people. The shower girls were very good. Love to all, and thank you!

"The therapists here are all good and York is very good. He pushes you hard and that's what it takes to get better!"

I want to thank all the team at Bel-Air for the kindest care and concern during my recent stay at Bel-Air. Everyone worked hard to get me back to walking again.
I don't remember all the names of the people involved in my care, but a few I do remember are Stacey, York, Natalie and everyone in PT - excellent care.
Care team Priscilla, Val, Connie, Patti, Demi and everyone that worked down Oak hall. They were always interested and concerned if I had any issues and dealt with them. Also, Kim, my daughter, for being there for me. One thing I did not like was the bed. It should have been longer for my height.

Although it was never our wish for Mom to be placed in a nursing home, she was in the best place for her to receive the kind, compassionate and knowledgeable care she deserved and received.
Please let the staff know how much their patience, kindness, training and compassion meant to her family. The aides, nurses, dietary staff, housekeeping and administration became Mom's new family to take care of her many needs. Thankfully, Mom didn't forget her immediate family, but was blessed to have it grow by those taking care of her daily needs.
Not only were Mom's needs met, but so were her children's. Very instrumental in my well being and understanding of Mom's change was the Memory Support Group. Gloria is one of your biggest assets. She not only has first hand knowledge of that disease, but is so knowledgeable of Alzheimer's along with her compassion and expertise in the field. The support group helped me so much to meet Mom where she was with each changing day.
Denise was one of the most recent nurses that was so patient, kind and compassionate that also helped me see that Mom was getting care better than I was equipped to give her.
Thanks to all the team for helping Mom and Dad through the transition to their next heavenly life.
Suzanne, Family Member of Memory Support Resident
For my short-term rehab stay, Heritage of Bel-Air was pleasant. The people (employees) were always ready with a smile and a helping hand. I thought it was great that there was always something to keep the residents interested in thing to do... BINGO, music and sitting outside. I am very glad I chose Bel-Air and will do so again if needed. Thank you for the flowers!

Tim had no concept of what bad shape he was in. He was so weak and couldn't walk. Heritage of Bel-Air brought him back to where he was. Thanks to physical therapy, occupational therapy and every other service that was provided. Everyone has been so nice and so helpful. He has just received wonderful care. Tonight he was thinking maybe he should stay another few weeks. I think he's going to miss everyone! Thanks to all.

To all of Heritage of Bel-Air staff, nurses, nurses aids, kitchen personnel, physical therapy. Just everyone here, plus some of the residents, all of you made my experience here a wonderful thing. You folks showed me respect, kindness, care, just plain said "Good-hearted caring folk." All of you have a place in my heart. Thanks All and God bless. PS, I will be anxious to return for my physical therapy!

Everyone we came in contact with was GREAT!! [HBA was] So friendly and helpful. And a special shout out to the Kitchen staff: I ate with my dad several times and the food was good; and the staff was so patient and kind to the residents. They really went out of their way to help everyone enjoy their meal.

My deepest thanks to all of you for 13 years of loving and caring for my sister-in-law, Lila. Throughout the stages of her illness, she could always count on you for reassurance and help, and so could I. I'll never forget those of you who never stopped doing additional acts of tenderness and kindness to keep her comfortable, especially during the last two weeks of her life. I'm truly grateful to have had the chance to know you dedicated people who make Heritage of Bel-Air such a special place. To you, I express my gratitude for adding meaning and security to Lila's last years. You were a wonderful family, not only to Lila, but to Tom and me.

I had five boys, and all of them played football. In our household, we'd eat, sleep and breathe football. When Heritage of Bel-Air has fun events like tailgate parties, it brings back so many fond memories for me. Thank you, Heritage of Bel-Air, for bringing a part of my past back to life.
Fern B.

I spent 24 days at Heritage of Bel-Air while recovering from a hip fracture. It is an excellent facility-clean building, good attitudes, wonderful care and great food. The cheerful staff there made my stay so pleasant. The community is very lucky to have a facility of this quality in Norfolk.

I want to thank everyone at Heritage of Bel-Air for taking such good care of my father during his recent stay with you. The entire staff was not only professional and technically excellent in its job performance, but also offered so much kindness and compassion during a difficult time for our family.

The staff at Heritage of Bel-Air performs as a cohesive family unit in caring for its residents. There is a big difference between employees merely doing a job, versus those same employees being integrally invested in the mission statement of their employer. As an interested family member observing interaction within your facility over a two week period, it was apparent that Heritage employees fall into the latter category. Your staff cares, and that makes all the difference. You all were a part of helping to restore Dad's health and get him home, and your contribution to our lives won't be forgotten.

Thank you.

I was very happy with my stay at Bel-Air after an injury. I appreciate the respect and kindness from the team. Everyone is so well trained to take care of the residents here.

At Heritage of Bel-Air each person is treated with respect and dignity.
I love that in the dining area the tables have table cloths, cloth napkins, place settings and centerpieces. The food is very good!
The PT and OT departments do an excellent, professional job getting clients stronger.
The beauty shop operators do an excellent job. Fun and entertaining activities are planned on an daily basis.
Even though my Mom would much rather be in her chair at home, I have a peace knowing that she is being well cared for and her quality of life is being improved.
P.S. Audrey in transportation is wonderful setting up Dr. appointments and transporting patients.

I liked my room. It was really nice! And I loved the nurses and people that work here. The nurses brought my pills and ice packs whenever I needed them. You are all like my family!
I loved the residents here. Everyone is so kind. That is necessary... All the loving!
I liked the pretty Chapel here and that I got to have Rosary and Communion so often.
Most of the time the food was good. I always ate all of my food!
I want to add that the therapy team is great, too!

Thank you!

First of all, I'm happy to be going home, but I will miss each and every one of the people working here. You have all been very kind and helpful whenever I needed anything, or had to do anything. Also, the therapy team is a wonderful group of people. The shower girls were very good. Love to all, and thank you!

Thanks to physical therapy, occupational therapy and every other service that was provided. Everyone has been so nice and so helpful. He has just received wonderful care. Tonight he was thinking maybe he should stay another few weeks. I think he's going to miss everyone! Thanks to all.

PS, I will be anxious to return for my physical therapy!
